5 of the Best Restaurants in Nice

Restaurants are always bustling and thriving in Nice, and new restaurants and bistros are always popping up. There’s hundreds of them, and a good majority of them feature unique menus and inspired gourmet chefs. Try some classical French food, or something with a modern twist, or maybe a bite inspired from another country. While we can’t pick a favorite with so many great eateries, we can definitely tell you about some of our favorites.

You can’t go wrong with a single thing you choose of the menu. And, the desserts are perfection – all made with fresh fruits.

This trendy restaurant features a Michelin star chef, and some of the most creative food you’ll ever find. The restaurant is rather expensive, such as ordering off their Revolution menu is 99€ per person, but you get quite a unique food experience. You can sip a cocktail over dry ice, enjoy a ‘search of the lost oyster, and finish it off with a lemon iced green buubly lollipop. Sound intriguing enough?

If tapas are what you seek, Sapore is the place to go. The young chef, Anthony Riou has worked in the best restaurants, and Sapore is the outcome of him opening his first restaurant. He keeps the menu small, with 8 very unique tapas dishes being offered, and uses only the freshest ingredients. Finish off your meal with a creme brulee.

This restaurant is located within the gorgeous Negresco Hotel, and you won’t believe the pricing on the meals – such a deal for such great food! The food can be considered even more of a steal when you consider that the chef won ‘Best Craftsman of France’ in 2007, and the Auguste Escoffier Trophy Normandy in 2005. You can order off the menu Plasir, or a seasonal menu, and pair great wine with any meal.

If you’re looking for the freshest and tastiest seafood – Les Viviers is it! There’s a restaurant on one side and a bistro on the other, with menus focusing on fish and other fresh seafood. All the dishes are simply elegant and original in presentation. Make a reservation if possible, as this little restaurant fills up fast!
